ABSTRACT: Investigating the benefits of early childhood drama therapy on emotional regulation is essential for understanding its role in child development. This study aimed to explore the effectiveness of drama therapy in enhancing emotional regulation among young children. The objectives were to (1) evaluate the improvement in emotional expression and management, (2) assess the reduction of anxiety and stress levels, and (3) examine the overall impact on social interactions. A survey design was chosen to systematically collect data from a broad participant base. A purposive sample of 100 children aged 3-5 years was selected, all of whom participated in drama therapy sessions within a structured program in Lagos State. The case study focused on a prominent early childhood education center that integrates drama therapy into its curriculum. Findings revealed substantial improvements in children's ability to express and manage emotions, a significant decrease in anxiety and stress levels, and enhanced social interactions marked by increased empathy and cooperation. The study recommended expanding the use of drama therapy in early childhood settings and training educators in therapeutic techniques to maximize benefits.
